B1023 RIGHT OF WAY(R.O.W.)

A great day in the valley of the Sun. Senate Bill 1023 passed the house today with 55 for it 0 against and 5 no shows. That is a huge win for us. It

will now go back to the Senate where it started and then over to the Governor for signature. This was our toughest bill to get through and as you might remember it didn't go anywhere last year due to the Senate not working on any bills. I want to thank everyone for your support and help on this bill. There were a lot of calls and letters on this bill and it helped. At the beginning of the year, we as Lobbyist decided to work on two(2) bills, HB2033 the extension of the Emission bill to allow it to get through EPA and then eliminate Emission testing in Maricopa County. That bill passed and has been signed by the Governor. We're hoping that EPA gets done with it before the end of the year and hopefully next year you don't have to do Emission testing.

The other bill we decided to work on was SB1023 Right of Way(R.O.W.) We've seen to many accidents and deaths due to right of way accidents. This bill will get signed by the Governor after today and as a Lobby team I can tell you we are very proud of what we were able to accomplish this year. Again, we couldn't of done it with out your emails and calls when asked.
